The forty-second consonant of the Thai alphabet and the last of the T-sounding letters, this letter traces its ancestry to Old Khmer. It appears frequently in Indic loanwords, particularly those with abstract, religious, royal, or literary tones.

Start at the middle left. Draw a vertical line downward, then make a sharp right turn at the bottom and go horizontally over to the bottom-right. Bring the line upward halfway, turn back and go left, just above the starting point, and curve it up to the top, finishing with a small upward tail to the right.
