How to Write "Pho Phan" (พ) in Thai
Please see the illustration above to learn how to write the Thai letter Pho Phan (พ).
The 30th consonant of the Thai alphabet and the second “P”-sounding letter. It resembles an uppercase “W,” with the middle stroke extending all the way to the top and an exterior loop on the left, and is pronounced with a “P” sound. Pay close attention to the top-left loop: when the loop is on the outside, it is pho phan; when the loop appears on the inside, it becomes pho phueng.
Writing tips:
Start by drawing a clockwise circle at the top left. From there, draw a straight line down to the bottom. Next, draw a diagonal line up and to the right toward the midpoint at the top. Then draw a line straight down and to the right, and finish by drawing a line upward on the opposite side of where you started.
