How to Write "Kho Khai" (ข) in Thai
Please see the illustration above to learn how to write the Thai letter Kho Khai (ข).
This is the 2nd consonant letter, and the first hard "K" of the Thai alphabet. Its name comes from "egg" because who doesn’t like eggs? Some people say the shape looks like a basket holding eggs, which makes a cute mnemonic even if it’s not historically true.
Writing tips:
Begin by drawing a small clockwise loop in the upper-left area. From the top of the loop, sweep your stroke upward and arc it over to the right around the inner loop until it's at about 5 o'clock. From there, draw a vertical stroke down toward the lower left. Then turn the stroke to the right, move horizontally, and finish by drawing a clean upward line back to the top. You may round or square the bottom corners.
